Freeport Race Report

Good Day Everyone,

I am happy to report that yesterday’s race went well.  For Alison, our volunteers, and myself it was a long day for sure, but well worth it!  Thanks for everyone for coming out and putting on a great effort!

As everyone knows we had to make a course change this year which added a tough climb in the last mile of the course, but with the benefit of a fast sweeping decent into the finish.  There has been some great feedback so maybe our temporary finish will become our permanent one?

We just want to thank everyone for coming out to race and to all our volunteers for helping to keep the racers safe.

Thanks

Derek and Alison

Course Change in Freeport!

I went out to check the course yesterday to find that the finishing street (South St) is being worked on and cannot be used.  After speaking with the Freeport Police I have created a new route FREEPORT TT ROUTE CHANGE.

One other request when it come to the course.  I am requesting if at all possible to have racers take a look at the route one portion of the course.  I am going to be out on course over the next couple of days sweeping and marking the broken road, but want to make sure that you have the chance to see where these areas are.  If you have raced the course before then you know that this portion is never great.

Everything else is coming together for Sunday and we are really excited.

Derek
